Let’s FOCUS on Friday: Agility Trial Prep Course!
Friday, October 21, 2016 :: 6pm – 9pm at Pets Behave in Niceville, Florida
We apologize for the late notice, but several people have asked for a Focus on Friday Workshop this month before the many local trials.
Our weekends are filling up with agility trials, many fairly local, so we would like to offer a special Workshop modeled around a real agility trial with one JWW course, one Standard course and one T2B course. (Course levels will be on the Masters level, but I can create a nested novice/open course if needed.)
Each participant will receive course maps for each course. You will be allowed to walk the course for 5 minutes and then we will run low to high as we would at a trial. I will act as the Judge and will be calling refusals, wrong courses, knocked bars and missed contacts. After everyone runs, we will walk the course together, discuss problem areas and offer suggestions on how to change your handling to fix the problem. Then, you will get a chance to run the course again and hopefully, everyone will see some improvement!
My goal is to design courses that will present you with some of the common elements that you will find in JWW, Standard and T2B. This should be a great Workshop to get your head in the agility game for the upcoming season.
NOTE: We won’t be doing the video analysis for this Workshop, but if you bring your phone, ipad, or camera, someone will be happy to video your runs.
$45 for 1st dog, $40 for 2nd dog
Working Spots: Limit of 10 dogs
Audit Spots: Unlimited

NEW! Class Training Update!
Nose Work For Fun!
Your dog can be the best smelling dog in the neighborhood!
Pet’s Behave is pleased to offer Fun Nose Work classes. This is the newest urban detection-style canine sport designed for all dogs to enjoy. No prior obedience training or athletic skills are required. It is a great way for any dog to have fun, build confidence, and burn physical and mental energy. Using some of the same methods used by trainers of official detection dogs, companion dogs will learn to explore with their noses and locate target scents. Owner observation and handling skills will be developed during practice searches. Fun Nose Work is open to dogs of all shapes and sizes. Your dog just needs a nose and a parent to drive him to class.
We are excited to have guest trainer, Penny Brenton, (NACSW) National Association of Canine Scent Work certified K9 NW instructor, to join the Pets Behave Staff for learning and training Nose Work. Penny has many years of competing with a variety of breeds in Agility, Barnhunt, Nose Work, Conformation, and Competition Obedience.
