Staff Training Update!

barley and meNose Work For Fun!

K9 Nose Work is the fun search and scenting activity that virtually all dogs and their people can enjoy. We are excited to have guest speaker, Penny Brenton, (NACSW) National Association of Canine Scent Work  certified K9 NW instructor, to join the Pets Behave Staff for a day of learning and training Nose Work. Penny has many years of competing with a variety of breeds in Agility, Barnhunt, Nose Work, Conformation, and Competition Obedience. 

We look forward to offering Nose Work for Fun classes in Fall 2016!

AKC Canine Good Citizen 1pm-2pm  ~  AKC Community Canine 2:15pm-3:15pm

Take the test! AKC Canine Good Citizen means a well-behaved dog!

AKC Canine Good Citizen (CGC): Responsible Owners, Well-Mannered Dogs

The AKC CGC program is recognized as the gold standard for dog behavior. In CGC, dogs who pass the 10 skills test can earn a certificate and/or the official AKC CGC title. Visit the AKC website to view all testing steps.

AKC Community Canine (CGCA): Advanced CGC

This test extends the skills learned in CGC to the community. Dogs who pass this 10 skills test are eligible for the CGCA title. Visit the AKC website to view all testing steps.

Rally Obedience Workshop: Sunday, July 24th

at our Niceville Facility

Come learn about Rally Obedience! We’ll cover rules, how to execute each station, and how you and your dog can best follow the course. There will be Novice, Advanced and Excellent courses set up for run-throughs. Handouts will be provided. Pets Behave will provide drinks during the event. Lunch break will be 12pm-1pm.

Instructor Linda Mills is a Rally Obedience Judge for AKC and ASCA.  She competes with her dogs in Obedience, Rally and Agility.  Linda has many years experience in working with different breeds and teaching dog obedience and agility classes.

When: Sunday, July 17th
Where: Pets Behave Training Center
Time: 10am – 12pm(introduction) /1-5pm (practice and run-throughs)
Cost: $50 working slot (Limit 12 dogs)
$25 auditors (Limit 5)
