Kristin Word, Assistant Trainer

Kristin was first introduced to the world of dog training 9 years ago when she began observing classes at her local training center. When the trainers offered her a chance to work their dogs in classes, she was hooked. Kristin joined 4-H in the seventh grade and became a junior leader. Not having a dog herself, she trained and showed Rembrandt, a friend's Australian Shepherd, in 4H shows and agility. She and Rembrandt excelled together earning multiple 4H Grand Champions and several agility titles.

When she moved to Florida, she had to leave Rembrandt behind, but she found love in a new place... in   the barn. Currently Kristin rides and shows horses. She's ridden and shown both hunter/jumper and western   as well as in-hand. Kristin became fascinated with clicker training when she learned about it and how it applied to the dogs. Having no dog of her own, she's applied her knowledge to the horses, hoping to make an impact on today's training methods. Her most recent project is a Quarter Horse filly called Moo!, whom is being   started from the ground up entirely with the clicker. Moo! is second horse she has clicker trained, and is showing the same bright potential the first did to excell in the show pen.

While horses will always be a big part in her life, her first love will always be the dogs and she's working hard  to become Pets Behave's next full-fledged trainer.

  Sheila Baez, Trainer

Puppy Kindergarten, Obedience, APDT, CGC Evaluator

Sheila Baez has owned and trained dogs most of her life. Her two trusty companions now are two Bernese Mountain Dogs Jake and Cosmo.

Sheila's interests and passions are everyday pet training and behavioral cases. She assists with agility, behavior cases, and is studying for her CPDT exam in 2008. Her goals are to strengthen the bond between dog and owner so pet owners can enjoy the same relationship she enjoys with her dogs.

Sheila stays current on the new methods and will be attending more seminars in 2008 to further her education. She will be competing with her own dogs in rally, obedience, and agility. Yep, big dogs do it too!
