and environmental conservation.
Liz
loves her dogs, cats and horses too! Her love of dogs
brought her to Pets Behave to volunteer as an assistant
trainer in her spare time. Working full time for over a
year at Best Friends Foundation shelter in New York, she
preformed temperament testing and trained shelter dogs the
basic obedience behaviors to make them more adoptable.
Liz lives with her cat, Cassius. As you can see from the
pictures Liz likes to get up close and personal with the
animals she trains. She is now training full time at Pets
Behave, teaching group classes, and is available for private
lessons and in-home training.

memory Jake ( pictured on rt)
Sheila Baez has
owned and trained dogs most of her life. Her trusty companion now is Cosmo. Sheila's interests
and passions are everyday pet training and behavioral cases. She
assists with agility and behavior cases. Her goals are to strengthen the bond between dog and
owner so pet owners can enjoy the same relationship she enjoys with
her dogs.
Sheila stays
current on the new methods and will be attending more seminars in
2010 to further her education. She competes with her own
dogs in rally, obedience, and agility. Yep, big dogs do it too!

Marilynn Smith, Agility

started with a passion for all animals. She was in charge of
raising, training and grooming all the family pets. She has worked
as a dog groomer and in boarding kennels. She spent many
years training and showing her own horses and those of others.
Although she still has a love for horses Marilynn’s priority has become her
dogs, competition sports and teaching people and their dogs how to
have fun together.

her dogs in conformation, obedience, and agility. She has reached
the top levels in both agility and obedience and owner handled her
dogs to their breed championships. She is a member of the

Kristin Word, Assistant Trainer
Kristin
was first introduced to the world of dog training 9 years ago when
she began observing classes at her local training center. When the
trainers offered her a chance to work their dogs in classes, she was
hooked. Kristin joined 4-H in the seventh grade and became a junior
leader. Not having a dog herself, she trained and showed Rembrandt,
a friend's Australian Shepherd, in 4H shows and agility. She and
Rembrandt excelled together earning multiple 4H Grand Champions and
several agility titles.
When she moved to
Florida, she had to leave Rembrandt behind, but she found love in a
new place... in the barn. Currently Kristin rides and
shows horses. She's ridden and shown both hunter/jumper and western
as well as in-hand. Kristin became fascinated with clicker training
when she learned about it and how it applied to the dogs. Having no
dog of her own, she's applied her knowledge to the horses, hoping to
make an impact on today's training methods. Her most recent project
is a Quarter Horse filly called Moo!, whom is being
started from the ground up entirely with the clicker. Moo! is second
horse she has clicker trained, and is showing the same bright
potential the first did to excel in the show pen.
While horses will always be a big part in her life, her first love
will always be the dogs and she's working hard to become Pets
Behave's next full-fledged trainer.
