Dog Agility – A Sport for Everyone!
Agility is where
dogs and their handlers make their way through a course consisting
of contact obstacles, jumps, tunnels, and weave poles. The essence
of the competition end of Agility is to run a course with your dog
as fast as possible without any faults. However, there are many
benefits to training a dog to do agility obstacles without ever
considering competition.
-
Agility is a mental and
physical outlet for dogs. For the very active, high energy dog,
it provides a method for releasing some of that energy in a
positive manner. This can help calm especially active dogs.
